My buddy wants a dirt bike so I've been looking for him I found a 94 yz 125 just like mine the seller says it needs carb work it keeps fouling plugs out. Is this a case of it being to rich or what. Please answer me as quick as possible we will be going to look at it tomorrow.

I have a bud that has a 250r and he was always fouling out his and my plugs and blamed it on everything and when i mixed the oil and gas he had no more plug fouling problems...

125's are really sketchy when it comes to jetting them, Mine if i run any lower than a 35:1 mix it will foul. 40:1 my bike would never foul a plug. fouling plugs can also be caused by low compression so make sure the bike has decent compression.

Ok well I am getting a compression tester tomorrow I will check compression it.....How do you check it. Also my bike when I let it idle to warm up and then when I hop on it and take off it spews our white smoke and my number plate gets covered in blow by coming out of my muffler. What could be the cause of that it also does it after an oil change.

put the tester in the plug hole and hold the throttle wide open and keep kickin till the gauge stops going up

white smoke sounds like cranks seals

Thats what I thought because it does leak a little bit of oil out of the bottom of the motor....I will just have to limp it along until winter when I have money and time to replace the seals. So I would just have to spilt the motor and then replace the bottom end seals am I correct.

Ok what a leakdown test. I will hopefully be able to limp it along until winter or give a month or two when school starts and I get a job crossing my fingers and hunting starts riding is put on the back burner. I didn't just spend 700$ on a new bow not to use it.

do a search for it......phragle has a great write up on how to build on and then how to use it in the DIY section
