in the 300' the bike with more torque will almost always win. You need enough torque to push the bike, but you also need a lot of horse power to go fast. Gearing is just as important too..

Take for example a rmk 700 vs an srx 700. Twins lunch HARD out of the hole, but once that srx starts to stretch its legs.... its game over for the rmk.
