How to ship an engine

This is how ya do it! Craploads of bubble wrap, use gorilla tape for the box because it is stronger then mailing tape. Sent to ken oconnor for port and polish, head machining, and bore job.

I didn't have enough bubblewrap to fill in the box and I could not find anything else! It's only going one state over it it should be fine. The box fell a foot while close up and the bubblewrap was still just fine so I am not worried. I should have packed it nice and snug in there though, if I had more time to get the the ups store I would have.
 
Thanks, I guess I forgot to specify (of course! haha) but this was only the cylinder and head. If it was the whole engine then I would have built a crate.
 
I went to walmart and got one of these, stuffed a bunch of old rags and towels in the bottom , set the motor in on it's side and put rags around and on top of it. finally use some screws and screw the lid on the tote.

I like to use those disposable Styrofoam coolers with newspaper as a filler, packed inside a box.
Cheap and very effective.
