my buddy wants to sell me a honda fortrax 125 it cranks but wont start for $45 do yall think i should get it

Its worth that in scrap.lol All depends on what it looks like and if you want to put the time or money into it.If it's all there I don't think anyone can argue for $45.

2 valves, OHC

Start with same basic trouble shooting. Spark, fuel, compression. Low comp either bad rings, valves out of adjustment or bent. No spark check switches and wireing, ALL conections corrosion free&tite. Juice to coil? no, check for corrosion.

It could be many thing but a dirty carb is the most common problem.

im thinkin carb it dorsent come with a battery he has a battery to hear it turn over but it doesent come with it

If you get it home and the carburetor is a mess, shoot me a PM and Ill clean/rebuild it for you if you'd like. Ive done many Honda carbs. They're simple, but have to be 100% clean to run properly.

ok i got my license today so me and my buddy drove over there and looked at it and i got him down to 30 on it so im buy ing it just have to clean out a place in the garage for it

no title its a 80 somthing 99% of atvs that old dident have titles my dad bought a 86 moto4 225 like 6 or 7 weeks after the old man bought it to work on the farm then the grandkids fliped it and he thought they would kill themself on it so he sold it to my dad for like halph of what it was worth back in the day and it dident come with a title

That's awesome man, that is the first quad I ever learned how to ride. They aren't fast and they don't have any suspension but they are pretty fun and damn near bullet proof. We still have ours at a cabin in the San Juan islands that gets ridden a few weeks a year, here is a picture of me on it last sumer:

well im pickn it up at 430 tomorrow and when i get home i will get alot of pics up and start diagnosing the starting problem
