homemade skid plates

i would weld the tabs with backing plates on the skids for the a- arms like someone eles said! and why not make it to fit factory bolt holes? use cardboard and make a demo to go by, and you can use a road sign for the main skid plate!! just make sure you paint it before you put it on!!!

haha... me i'd jist leave it so when i do wheelies everybody sees "One Way"

Put a loop around the swingarm rail that attaches to the skid plate.

Who ever did mine used Alum. Diamond plate and drilled holes and rivited them to the A- Arm and under motor. I've beat the sh*t out of it and I assume they did also and it has held up just fine.

i am going to make 1 out of a stop sign i stole a wile back, i am just making a plate just for the bottom of the motor, so nothing comes up and smacks my case lol ..

i woudn't think drilling the holes would be a problem but i'd worry about moisture and water getting in the holes and rusting from the inside out. deff. woudn't drill in the tubs tho. best way would be to use the stock tabs or make some of your own.
