There is a lot of interaction up there in the squish area, gases flow more freely without restriction.
Yep, you can tell that area gets a lot of action from carbon deposits cause it's all black like in the first picture.
Yea but not in a bit cause I have dial up which takes a while anyway. I'll watch it again. As I only saw the first 3 and a half out of the 4 at the time... ok thanks larry
How do you go about polishing the head? Dont believe thats in KORs how to right? Is it really worth it?
The way I did it was take out all /quite a bit of the nicks but generally loosen the carbon up so it's easier to remove. I used my 200 grit sand paper then used me blue stone bits and went over it back and forth like brush strokes or welding. In oval circles side to side like welding is kinda lax.
Anyway when it's rough I sanded all around in 6 segments from where the bolt hole is to the next one over and over arround and arround till quite a few of the nicks and soot were out and everything was pretty smouth. Then I had some 600 grit sand paper and rubbed out with my hands over and over for a few hours on both bowls in the same direction. Then I had some pretty nice metal polish I think it's called California Custom, it's purple and works great with everything else. So I poured a drop or 2 at a time cause it potent and goes a long way.
Hooked up the white cloth polish wheel on my dremel and went and polished both bowls. Now because this stuff turns black when it works I kept working the line. I did this untill the black metal residue/soot that sticks to the metal simply blows off, or wipes off pretty easily if your more of a hands on person. So I worked it in a little more at an angle so it blows off, I did this at least 5-7 times arround in both bowls untill I got that brilliant shine.
I used this same technique for the inside of the exhaust port.
The work in polishing the head was less mitculus and more straight forward. But as I understand it it's supposed to compliment the freshly/cleanly done exhaust port, and help overall. I hope the first three parts helped holden
