I just made some home made skid plate's.a little hillbilly but hay it is better than nothing.

What did you make them out of?

stainless steal sheet metal and hose clamps. put foam around the frame first so water and junk can get out.

how thick was ths stainless and was it expensive

I got it from a metal shop down the street from my house they gave it to me.
to them just scrap me gold. how thick i do not know the gage but it is an 1/8 in maybe if that. works great.

yes i made a temp first then cut out the metal.

No cut out a hole in it.

thats not 1/8" thick, you wouldnt be cutting 1/8" steel with just metal sheers. Its just sheet metal (thin gauge, think aluminum siding for a house thick).

Props for the work tho, I would have went for a thicker skid personally (DG's is made from 1/4" aluminum). I agree with the others, put a hole in it so you can drain the tranny fluid.
