Hi Guys

Welcome!

What modifications does it have and what sort of general condition is it in?

Would you like to take really good care of your new toy? Download the service manual in the general support section and take a scroll through ;) you'll be glad you did!

Post up some pics of the new ride too!

Scratches here and there, but ovarall looking very good, nothing that elbow grease and polish cant fix.

The previous owner took out the two stroke oil box. So mixing everything in the tank now.

It has a FMF powerflow exhaust. (not feeling to good about it after reading the shootout though...)

Tyres looking good, throttle response feels exciting. I:I I bought it for my son, he is racing ovaltrack every now and then. (a little Dinli 110cc quad) :p

Feels like he has outgrown the quad a bit.

I think the transition might be to big though...

Well, you're already off to a fine start. I recommend pulling the carburetor and cleaning it out and confirming current jetting before riding it too hard. You never know what the Previous Owner has in there until you look for yourself. We get new folks all the time saying something like "bought a new blaster, ran for an hour, now it won't start" and a lot of times it's simple and easy and sometimes it's because the PO didn't have it right and it blew.

It's not a bad transition once he gets the hang of the clutch. He'll definitely enjoy riding the blaster more I think once he does get the hang of it.

How old is your kid? I know around here we start them at about 10-12 years old on the blasters might seem young to some people but we also bought my nephews 50cc etons at 2 years and locally we got a bunch of kids under 5 that race them.

Start them young and teach them right I:I

I am going through the blaster now slowly, but surely.Cleaning as I go along. I used Mirraplate to polish up the plastics, has a nice shine now. (Yellow and Black)

No leaks on the engine at least.

Do you guys reckon it wil be a good idea to strip the carb though, its starts easy peasy, and it idles fine. No flat spots picked up in the rev range.

Why fix it if its not broken? Is there a trend of incorrect jetting on the carbs?

The only problem I picked up that really bothers me is on the rear axle, on the right hand side the guy has 3 tie straps between the brake disc, and the I would assume bearing? Any ideas?

I ll grap some picks over the weekend.

ya looking at the main jet in the carb, by taking off the float bowl, you can see what the jet number is, its important to have the right jet. dont want it running lean and have a boom boom issue.

unless i missed it, what year is your blaster ? ans would enjoy pictures.

Nice, I think a little tlc and she will be a bute.

I cant tell from the pic if that is a stock pipe or not.

But for sure, you should do a leak down test. When they are older, it key to make sure or know for sure, there is no leak.

Its hard to say when the crank seals have last been replaced.

So you really in South africa ?

Yep, born and bred SA. We have a few good spots in terms of quad racing and outrides in the area. Couple of years ago I was lucky enough to go for an outride in Mozambique. That was something else. Did the trip with a trx. Was something I will never forget! I:I
