Well im new to blaster forums, but i've had my blaster for a couple of years now, and i was researching for new parts and found this site. But since I just blew the top end out of it and I figure while im rebuilding i might as well go all out, so you should be seeing more of me while im doing a complete overhaul with performance in mind, that being said, what are some suggestions for some good parts, im trying to make it a MXer, if that helps lolI:I

Well first off welcome on board hope you enjoy it here.....
There is such a large scale of upgrades and DIY's out there that the best is to go threw old post's and check what other people have done to there blasters so you can get a feel for where you want to start. the other thing is MONEY set out a budget and I bet there will be some one on here that could work the best way out to spend it and gain the most.

DMC Alien pipe for that low/mid get up ang go, a port job, and some really good shocks for landing the big jumps.
Get it as wide as they allow!
Depending on the length of the track and the expected speed a 12 tooth front sprocket really gets the power to the wheels.
A +3"-4" swinger will keep the front down and help set up the jumps, as well having stability in the corners and less pounding in the rough stuff.
A free + 3 to 4 deg timing mod will also give a noticable amount of power in the low/mid range, if coupled up with a reed spacer block and a pipe that supports low/mids.
Bear in mind that power will not compensate for a bike that will not handle well, sheer power alone is useless if bike wont handle and the rider lacks technique.
In my opinion MX is all about practice, what to do, when to do, having the experience, and then the power to do it!

From one blasty racer to another welcome. i think these guys covered it pretty good. Number one thing id do is get some good shocks. triple rate shocks are what most guys use for mx. 2nd MOD THAT ENGINE!! haha talk to o connor racing or flotex. they are really good at setting up engines, tell them where you want your power and how much and im sure they can help you! Make sure to get to get the right pipe. more info on the tracks you race at would be nice to. dont want to get a pipe with top end and not a whole lot of bottom. id stick with DMC ALIEN. great low to mid pipe and i love it on the track! Next is traction. I love itp holeshots so check them out. they are a little spendy but are great tires!! Maybe get some beadlocks if you have the money or some chrome rims. For airfilters i perosnally like Uni filters and run them in both my blasters. Remove that airbox lid and buy an outwearer for the airbox to protect the filter from dirt. Ok you will prolly want a carb to go along with your goodies. Im not expericanced with aftermarket carbs but try a 28 or 30 flatslide. just to see. like i said im not the best on carbs yet. talk to a more experianced memeber on them. Next is apperance. there is to strarigies. #1 is leave apperance totally stock but mod the engine and intake and that good stuff . or You can buy racing plastics. Usually if you leave it stock people wont take you serousily and wont think of you as a threat but then you wil show them up when you race them. But i like the look of racing fenders. No offense to anybody with homemade cut fenders but i dont like the look of them. i would go to maier usa and order a maier race hood and some front and rear plastics. Also i forgot to mention you might wan to get an adjustable witdh axle so you can set it for the track and you wont roll it when you go around corners. Also check into getting different a arms like +2 +3. i see them alot. Well i hope i helped if i forgot to mention something or you have questions please dont be shy and ask!! Well from one MXer to another, shocks, A-Arms, and an axle are really the top stuff. For shocks, PEP's are the best, Fox is nice, Axis is pretty good, Elka is sweet, Works are decent and the list goes on. The best MX setup is PEP PB1's in the front matched up to +3 a-arms. The rear will be best with an adjustable axle, PEP rear, 18x10x8's, and a +4 roundhouse swinger. This is the best and therefore the most expensive setup but with this suspension setup you will just need slight engine work to keep up with the 450's. Porting, crank, 240 kit, reeds, pipe, gearing, and a high performance piston will have you eating up four strokes. But the biggest upgrade is a physically fit rider. You will need to be in great shape and practice as much as possible to win the big races.
