HELP vitos 240

My blaster was sitting for about 4 years. Oil pump was all clogged up. And yes I changed the gass. And did a leak test

Just what I thought...the oil injection pump gets blamed for an issue that it didn't create.
Oil pump was clogged up with what? Oil sitting in the oil pump doesn't go bad or congeal while sitting there. Did you clean your carb?
What did the "leak test" show, psi, etc?
What was your compression before the melt down?

There are some pieces of the puzzle missing here...

Do you have pictures of the smoked piston and head that you removed? Please post them ,so we can see them. It will help us figure out your problem.

Piston wall head looks the same will post pics when I take one

OUCH !! that makes me cringe. That was the stock piston?

By chance did you split the cases to clean the crank bearings after meltdown? Regardless, me thinks you have a bad bearing, might not be crank. Check the counterbalancer bearings and gear real close also.

Without question,it was lack of lubrication. Was the system ever removed and replaced?
Bled?
Bled after sitting a long time?
Oil tank ran dry?
Oil hose removed and replaced?
?

I did notice the oil line that goes to carb was leaking. And no I never bled it out. And yes it was removed once. Not by me. This blaster has been in the family 13 years. There's been a few hands on it

thanks for the vid I typically play things by ear and can tell whats wrong or right much better.nice 1 kick start my preference is for a slightly faster idle other than that I dont think i hear any detonation. what do you guys think? BTW for arguments sake what octane gas are you using.

Ya I drove it around a little bit last night after warm up. Seems to run good was taking it easy for first tank.

I was sure it was something like that...

All BAD!

Removed at one time, not bled out, leaking line to carb...

There's the problem. Not the oil pump.

Good to see you got her fixed. Sounds good too!
