Ok, my cousin took his blaster to a friends and it stoped firing. Well he left it there for a month, and when he went back it started. So, he put it in gear but then it went in reverse. We all know blasters don't have a reverse. So we're wondering what the heck is going on with it. It'll wind out and go into all 6 gears real good, it just goes backwards though. What is the problem and how am I going to fix this?

exactly, and a woodruff key can be had at any hardware store for under a few bucks, you'll need a flywheel puller though

any 2 stroke will run backwards.
it happened on a banshee i had and seen it on many a chainsaw.

it can happen at any time too. and not always with a sheared key. when you kick it, it might not be getting a full kick, and the compression can push the piston back, and under right conditions, it can and will fire.

scared the crap outa me when it happend on my banshee.

You will probably need to get the woodruff key from the dealer (about 2 bucks). I never could find the exact right one at a hardware store. (there were very small differences in width, length, etc)

BTW, you are doing pretty good if you can ride a blaster backwards through six gears....
