Hey guys, I need some help buying my son some stuff for his Blaster for Christmas. My son has a 2006 Blaster with the following mods;

30mm carb.
LRD pipe
K&N filter
Ignition upgrade(I can't remember the name???=)))
Handle bars
plastics
wheel spacers
Some other stuff I can't remember, LOL!!

He is wanting some more zipppp, as in a big bore or ported cylinder kit. I am leaning towards a CT or Airesol kit but would like to explore more options. This being a surprise Christmas gift (from Santa, he has to tell me he still believes or I want get him anything:-D) I can't tear his bike down to send his engine off for work so I need an all-in-one kit. I am open to all suggestions. He does not race in any organized events so we need not meet any size requirements, we are looking for all out power on pump gas, with descent reliability and price. Thanks!

P.S. What are some good stores I could be checking out for Blaster stuff, he also wants to dump the wheel spacers for A-arms and axle with better shocks.

sounds like someone was a good boy this year, lol, yea the ct sonic is prob the best full kit but very pricey as in 1500 or so, then theres the vitos 240 kit which is also good for about 500, so there is a big diifrence in prices between the too

I am looking for "best bang for the buck". I would say the CT kits are not going to be the best bang for the buck, what about the project Blaster $500+ kit verses the Vito big bore kit for about the same money? I know the Vito's kit is a 240 kit and the Project Blaster kit is a 200 ported kit, which one is a better buy?

And......yea,.....he is a great kid!

idk how good the port work is on the pb kit, but theres alot of members that have the vitos kit and love it, bigger set up for the same price

best bang for the buck would be buy the vitos kit straight from them and get someone like kennedy or flotek to port it, both on here and both do great work and theres a couple people on here that can vouch for their work. im saying get the vitos 240 kit ported because the way the vitos cylinder comes, its not that great, it does rip, but porting it just makes it crazy. and if you go with kennedy, he likes to do the head mod along with porting to get the most out of it, and if you go ahead and get the vitos +3 stroker crank and get him to port the cylidner for a +3 stroker, this thing will tear sh*t up.

other than that your probably going to want a bigger carb like a 35mm airstryker and to help throttle response get the vforce 3 reed cage system.

how much exactly do you want to spend? cuz if you want to just get the vitos 240 kit with a 35 mm carb and get a arms and shocks to kind of spread the money around then that would be best because if you havent looked at a arm prices, there high and shocks also high.

if you give us a price range to go by then it'll help determ best upgrades for the money.

I really don't have a price in mind, maybe less than a $1000. Yea, I priced some A-arms and shocks, WOW they are proud of them!!! This is making that YFZ 450 he is wanting look better and better. We have already sunk a lot of money in this 4-wheeler so far. I hate to put much more into it and in a few years when he is 16 buy him a YFZ 450. You know you don't get crap out of them when you sell them no matter how much you "hop them up".

The Airsal or CT 200 kit would get my vote. Why?
Because they both use a nicasil plated bore which if taken care of
(proper jetting, good oil and fuel) will last longer and be less maintainance.
You might also check with Hetricks, I saw a kit on their site that looked like a good deal if its a plated cylinder.

send a PM to Kennedy Power on here. he can sell you a vito's kit and jug that is already ported and ready to install. tell him what kind of pipe and carb you have and he can port it to suit, then mail the whole kit to you to install.

Kennedy_power on here sells the vitos 240 kit , and he will port it to your specified riding style for around 500 bux

just so you have this clear, not correcting specialized... kennedy sells the the kit ported to your preference, the porting alone doesnt cost 500. just ask him by pm how much porting would be.

i noticed you said you wanna run pump gas? i dont think with the ct kit thats possible.. im not sure about the other kits.. i have a ct kit and love it.. but i have to run 106 octane.. it feels great to pull up to a bigger bike a blow em away.. but your investing money into something with a low book value and will never be able to recover that. good luck.

another instance of a spoiled child... haha

just throwing an option out there, you could look on ebay for a cylinder and head then send it out for porting.

lol i take it you had to buy all your toys when you were a kid huh?
it was the same way at my house lol i remember buying a brand new gameboy color for $80 when i was like 10 lol it was funny i paid the lady with $1 bills

oh and to to throw out an answer why dont you just get your stock jug ported its the cheapest thing you could do and still gives you some respectable hp gains prolly about $150-$250 depends who you ask on this site

because he said it's supposed to be from santa so he can't tear the kid's bike apart and send it off....
i like hickskaterboarder's idea. find a jug/head on ebay cheap, have it sent directly to a pro (i'd HIGHLY recommend kennedy, he seems to be the most experienced formally and on the trails) for a p&p and head work. then when you drop em in, you can pull the stockers and sell em on ebay to make some dough back.

Nobody likes a hater:-D, ....and trust me he is not spoiled. He and all he friends think I am to hard on him because he has to maintain a 3.0 average in school and has a side job splitting and selling firewood. He has spent more time with an axe in his hand then many of grown men and has the callouses to prove it. My philosophy is "work hard, play hard" and he is rewarded accordingly.

Now, back to the question at hand. I am really looking more for an over-the-counter type kit. Tried and proven horsepower adder. From research it seems the candidates are;

Vitos 240
CT sonic 200, 240
Phantom (Project Blaster) 200,240
LA Sleeve 200,240

Are there any other players? Where did Trenga Racing go? I thought they were a major player in the Blaster game?
