so i was riding in WI today and i was on the public roads full throttle and 5 gear most of the time and after about 30 min it boogged down and felt like it was going to die but it kept going it had no power at all no powerband it couldnt even get up. when it is in nutral it sounds fine. i changed the plug, same, cleaned carb check everything it is fine idk wtf is wrong??

might have reed problems, check reeds and compression, but if u were wot the whole time u might as well tear it down for a rebuild.

in neutral it sounds like it is running like a champ. one thing, i have been running it pretty rich on the new top end? could this be it? also what about the power valves? how do i check those, where are they, and what do i look for?

check ur reeds, when in neutral when u hit the throttle does it die? ur powervalve is fine, they dont go from working great to sh*t in 30 min.
have u checked for air leaks? whats ur compression at?

165, was that before or after your ride? Did you bore it for your rebuild? The little I know about power valves was gleaned from a site, Something mentioned about relief grinding after bore. Don't recall if brand specific. After checking reeds pull pipe and look at ex side of piston and crown.

I did the test after i rode it. I tested this morning too it was at 163 so. I took it for a spin and it started to work fine but I had to go somewhere so when I came back it ran like sh*t again
Also when I rev it in nuetral all the way it like bogs and just makes this low sound like it's not revving all the way and it does it in gear also. My buddy I bought it from put the new top end on the day he sold it to me
