Hey all, I have been around for a little but but thought I should share a little more about me. This is my first blaster, it's a 99 with disc conversion done, mostly stock other than that. I used to ride an 85 Kawasaki Tecate 3 wheeler prior to this. I am a huge Sammy Hagar fan, love tequila, and try to get to Cabo every year for vacation. I have a 78 malibu that I also classify as a toy, nothing special 355, th350, 3.73s. Other than that I am a father of three and a big family guy. So... I wanted to say thanks to all those that offer great information and help out their fellow blaster brothers/sisters. Any of you ever make it to Mid Missouri look me up.

Couple pics for you guys, I have never taken the malibu to the track but have had several people say it feels like a 12 second ride, I say it is a 13-14 second car it needs posi real bad

screw the blaster!! im diggin the BU!!! 14 second sounds more realistic depending on whats done to the motor

i had a 350 in a cutlass(chevy) lt1 internals, 535 cam, air gap intake, ported vortec heads, under drive pullies, 1 7/8ths long tube headers, built th350, 410 posi rear, car ran 13.2 at 104mph with sh*tty 2.0 60 foot

Yeah I did make the bumber, when I bought it it was a jacked up stock bumper, the malibu has a 355, 882 heads, performer rpm intake, small cam, holly 700, hedman headers running through dual two and half inch exhaust into 40 series flowmasters. Trans is a th350, shift kit and mild converter. 3.73s in an open rear. Thanks for all the compliments, gotta have my toys.

i'd say high 13's or in the 14's

throw a set of vortecs on it and it'll wake way up. and i agree the toys are required for sanity!

leave it open rear end, put a drag bag on the right side,( air bag) ditch the performer for a air gap(for vortec heads), step the cam up to a low 500s lift with proper overlap and duration for a n/a motor, ported vortec heads(the aluminum ones) 2500-2800 converter and that car will be a whole new animal, for relitivly cheap
