Grounding to the frame?

I'm in the middle of putting back a blaster that has been freshly painted.

My first time working on an ATV and I'm curious as to what would be a proper ground for the electronics.

Do I have to remove the paint where I'll be grounding to or will the screw thread ground to the frame be sufficient?

Thanks,

I figured it wouldn't hurt either way...just not so crazy about scratching up a brand new paint job :)

From what I can see it's the voltage regulator and coil that need grounding.

Am I missing anything?

coil and by the regulator ya your right. I didnt even clean off my ground or thread when i painted my frame. THe bolt cleaned out the threads.

The wiring harness on the Blaster is grounded on top of the coil. Scrape all of the paint off of the frame where the coil meets the frame and you're good to go. The coil will hide the bare spot on the frame so don't worry about losing the aesthetic beauty of the freshly painted frame.
