Grinding Nosie Coming From Gearbox

I have fitted a new clutch plate and springs and placed it back together, Filled it up with oil. I kick it to start and the kick start stays down, Why is this?
Also, when it's started and just idling all i can hear is gears crushing? X(

did the kickstart gear get put in correct? as i had same bother with a bike i had the kickstart wouldn't go back up and the kickstart gear had came off.
