still bit by bit putting together the parts necessary to completely rebuild my engine... i know i need top end... and new engine case... i have the engine cases... and im going to crack the lower end and figure out what i need there... but im thinking i could buy the gaskets and some small things now that ill need no matter what.... looking on ebay because thats normally where i buy stuff..... is there a brand name i should be buying... or is something like this ok to work with??

ATV Complete Gasket Kit: YAMAHA YFS 200 BLASTER 1988-06 on eBay.ca (item 390260616894 end time 08-Dec-10 16:15:52 EST)

COMPLETE ENGINE GASKET KIT + OIL SEALS YAMAHA BLASTER on eBay.ca (item 250481597261 end time 04-Dec-10 12:29:00 EST)

Im assuming that ill have to basically replace every part in this engine.... but hoping some stuff down there is worth saving....

Cheers..

i have heard some flaws cand happen in the k&s seals. For gaskets you eithere want t go stock or cosmetic, any peper gaskets have been getting sucked into the cyinder

i have used k+s in the past and had no problems with them. but not sure what kit that first link is.

The first pic is generic sheeblast.

I have heard OEM base gasket only. I have a K&S base gasket on mine with no problems but Ken O'Connor had an engine recently destroyed by sucking a base gasket in.

Then again, he regularly tells people to "rev the piss out of it and see if you can blow it up". Awk was actually able to do it...
