gasket question

hi well im pretty much ready to put my engine top end back to gether using the ct sonic kit i got the thing is the gasket seti got is after market would it be ok to use the cylinder gasket or has it got to be oem one ? also where cani get a leak test kit or what do i need to make one

Depends on what "aftermarket" ones you got...

If they are green and papery, throw them away.

Order oem cometic gaskets from KOR.

Leak tester can be bought from Awk08, or you can look in the DIY section for the how-to thread

If you got the CT kit new, it should have come with a Cometic big bore gasket set. Cometic base gaskets are fine.

no i got from the lad you just built and sent a head to in IRELAND its senconed hand what are Cometic base gaskets ,,,sorry to sound silly

There is a specific cylinder head gasket for the ct brand cylinders made by cometic. You need the standard 200cc one. Nothing wrong with using a new cometic base gasket. Just as good as oem. The cometic kit will come with a base gasket,head gasket,reed cage gasket.
