I'm trying to figure out how to get my brake light to work with my banshee front hydro conversion. Is there a switch somewhere like on the stock cable setup? Am I just completely not seeing something? Very possible. lol

The brake light switch is screwed into the handle bar mount.

In order to run your brake lights with a hydraulic master cylinder you'll have to have a master cylinder off of a quad with a brake light.

I believe yamaha upgraded the banshee to a brake light around the same time they upgraded the blaster to a brakelight (around 2002).

Your master cylinder is either older than that or someone removed the brake light switch.

I'm fairly sure they do. You'd really just have to look for a master cylinder with the brake light swtich built in.

Raptor 350's, YFZ's, raptor 660's. Heck, even some of the other brand will work fine. 450R's, 400EX's, LTR's,

YFZ do have a brake light but the switch had been removed from the mc that I bought. Make sure you ask if it is there before you buy one. The switches I have seen on ebay are going for around $20. Too much for me to invest in one.

There is a banjo bolt/switch. Saw one in Parts Unlimited catalog , $20 I think. Might find one on E-gay. Why would you care or need a switch on the front brakes?

The 02 and up blaster's had brake lights wired in. If all he needs is a master cylinder with the switch in it to work, why not?

Plus, he might live somewhere that the original equipment must be installed by law.

Good info on the banjo bolt switch though man!

yep, banjo micro switch is the simplest answer to this, they come in single and double line units, i actually have one for my rear master, but havent fooled with getting it wired in yet, and my yfz front master does have a brake switch on it

Nothing required by law. I just like to have the brake light working. I know I don't like to follow someone without a brake light. I like to be able to see if someone is braking up ahead. There may be something or someone on the trail ahead that that person I'm following is braking for. Safety First!

Thanks for the link awk. That will give me an idea on what I'm looking for. I'll be going to full dual lines soon so I'll find a double banjo. Thanks
