front drum brakes any way to make them work good

k i have a 01 with drum fronts i can pull the lever all the way and they dont stop for sh*t what can i do to make them work good also are there any other kind of pads that work better thanks guys

change your brake pads, and adjust your cable

theres an adjustment on each cable on the each drum. try those and/or change your brake shoes.

i think the cables are stretched if i get new cables do the brakes work good ?

yeah if you clean em up and put new pads in there. just adjusting mine made them work so good.

dude i just replaced my pads and only one tire is doing the stopping and yes i did do the same # of turns on each tire.........could it be the cable??

the cable converts from ONE to TWO seperate cables under the hood. check to see that both the cables are both connected and all that. or, the cable could not be hooked around the "I" hook near the drums. check both of those.

yeah ive checked it and its acting the way it should at least i think it is i lifted the front up and spun the right tire and held the break and it stops but with no were near the power of the other side whats going on stretched line????

i would say that the right front brake cable is stretched out.
