why are FMF's so disliked on blasters? Or why are they inefficient? i have a pro circuit head pipe, and fmf turbinecore2 exhaust. what would be a similarly prices setup, but a better one. im not against spending money, but i gotta keep it pretty reasonable.

Are you talking about new or used? If new then Dyno Port, Toomey, Power Pros, Shearer, CPI, and Vito's are very close in price. I personally do not have a problem with the FMF as I used to have one. I think that there are better pipes but I also believe that some people on here are far too judgemental when it comes to set-up. All that really matters is that you like the performance of your set-up. I do have to say that I like my Shearer better but would it be worth me spending money to replace a FMF that is already on a stock or mildly built Blaster- no. I replaced mine because my friend wanted one for his daughters Blaster and I wanted to see how much of a difference a different pipe would make on mine.

i love my gold series fatty. i think alot that say they are trash are either running pipes that are twice the price or havent even tried em

ya i agree its really all about what you want out of your bike, fmf pipes are a good addition for an average trail rider who wants to wake up their blaster a little. the more expensive pipes like dynoport, f7, and the like are expensive for a reason, a lot of science goes into two stroke performance exhaust systems. they are for the guys that demand aggressive performance, because it better suits their riding style. its all about having fun on your machine in the end...

Well said I:I

I personally HATE my fmf, but it was free with the bike and it sounds soo good :)

i mean it sceams. it screams like an fmf would. for anyone talking specs, from mildly modded to very modded. my sig is whats done. so based on that you can make a suggestion. im not sure when or if i will be getting a 240 kit so thats possible i guess. i guess i have no complaints about my fmf. just curious

FMF is good for most people, great for trails, great bottom and mid end power, but it really drops off on the top end, that's everyone's gripe.

When you're in the woods, you barely notice it. But if you get into a real wide open area and want to haul....you'll see how the top end just drops off after the strong low and mid range....and two strokes are supposed to be all about top end!! If you've got one, you just have to learn to shift before the power drops off, that's all.
