Im starting to prepare for splitting the cases on my yamaha blaster and im trying to get the flywheel bolt off at the moment, i dont have an impact wrench and i dont have a flywheel holder so my local mechanic told me to try wedging a piece of cloth between the 2 gears on the clutch basket side to keep it from moving while i try to turn the nut... it has eaten every piece of cloth i can wedge in it, anyone have any idea how i can get this off without destroying it?!?!

Find the gears that are spinning and put a copper washer or soft metal between them. Or, if you have one of those oil filter straps (the rubber one), have someone hold the clutch basket with that while you break the nut loose. really though, the right tools make the job much easier...how are you gonna pull the fly wheel off without the puller?

thats the kind of answer i was looking for... thank you
