Hey guys, i was richening up (is that a word?) my pilot air screw this morning and during the process, i noticed after one particular kick, the kick starter didnt return up from the footpeg and needed to be manually returned, i figured that fat thick return spring inside the clutch cover popped out of its locator hole and did think it should be a problem. later, i went for a 15km ride out at a track nearby, i did one loop and had a chill out session. I had just started the second loop and slowed down to let my buddy catch up and i noticed a strange knocking sound, a deep, random sound not really consistant or rhythmic. sounded like its coming from the back of the engine but not too sure. it cant be detonation at idle surely? So i putted back to pits and thats that. now, could it be that that return spring is getting in the way of the clutch basket and causing the knock? i plan on checking it out tonight but just looking for some input before i get started...
Many thanks..
