Is there a trick to getting the float pin out. I took my carb apart today to clean it and it was a mess so I ordered a rebuild kit. I just cant seem to get the float pin out.
Thanks guys.

damn bro.that doesn't look pretty.Piston in backwards,carb junked up,what next.lol

I hear you bro. It just seems like one thing or another LOL. But I am not going to let it beat me LOL.

I dont know how long this thing sat before the decide to sell it. Its all good thought its getting there. LOL

Its going to be getting a nice couple days in a gas bath....

Try leaving the carb. body in some Berryman's Chem-Dip. It comes in a paint can and can be bought at the local auto parts store. This stuff works wonders on nasty carb's left submerged for a few days!

ive used tiny finishing nails to CAREFULLY tap the pin out. take extreme care when doing this though because you can easily break the arm that holds the pin, also i think it only goes in one way due to one side being flattened out.

Yah I got the pin out with a punch and some tapping came out just fine nothing broke. Noob are you sure it only goes in one way.

Thanks for the help guys As for the carb dip mentioned I am getting that, but I had a member on another site offer too take care of the carb for me.

One more question I have a Toomy B1 exhaust, Boyesen power reeds and a Uni filter. The jets in my carb now are a 310 main pilot is a 32.5 and the needle was in the middle
3rd slot from the top I counted a total of 5 slots. Is this a good starting point for my set up?

Thanks again guys

That sounds like a good starting point for jetting, assuming you have the airbox lid off. It might end up being too rich but you are better off starting out rich than lean.

Ok cool thanks. It didnt come with the airbox lid LOL..

I am keeping the airbox lid off but I run nylon panty hose over top on it.
