I just fully rebuilt my blaster and need some held with the carb. Not very familiar with flatslide. New everything in motor, its a std. bore cylinder w/ wiesco piston, vfocre3 reeds, open airbox w/ k&n filter, toomey exhaust, barnett clutch, and i bought this mikuni 28mm TM smoothbore series for it. I have not cranked to break it in it yet b/c i want to try to get the right jet for it.
so if someone can help me out

I am not familiar with the flat slide Mikuni but if is uses standard Mikuni jets I see no reason you should not use the jets you used prior to rebuild. If you have added mods since rebuild the Toomey should have come with jetting instructions, 2 to 3 sizes of jet up for air box lid off.

Starting point Ball park figures:: Pilot stock 32.5, needle 3rd centre position, main 290-300.

Do plug chop but not until after heat cycles and break in.

Maybee someone using a Toomey can be more of a help, or you could look for info on Pipe review.

There's a couple of threads that list what jets people are using. Just look threw the threads and see who has a setup close to yours. That's how I desided on what jets to start with.

I'm running a 34mm Mikuni TM flatslide... I'm at about 400' above sea level and am running a 35 pilot, 260 main, and a 5FP17 needle in the center clip position. Granted I have a heavily-modified engine and am almost at sea level, but there's a starting point. I'd start with a 270 main and 35 pilot and leave the needle alone. Crank it up, chop some plugs, and tune from there.
