do the deer a favour and dont shoot it with a 22. It needs to be a well placed shot/lucky shot, and it is likely u will hit it enought to kill it, but not for an hour or so and u would likely never find it, go get yourself a 30-30, good little deer guns, usually cheap too, and lever action is bad ass lol

shooting a deer with a 22 would be incredibly unethical because you never know how good you hit it with such a small round and could end makeing the deer have a long painful death. as for round choice i would go with the hollow points because it will make a bigger shockwave and expand more
