haha, i used to work on a cow farm and a horse farm from 12-14 yrs old, i made over 300 a week. lol i was the richest 13 yr old you ever met. that was 11 yrs ago.

if you are working on on the oay roll, the govenment is taking out taxes.
i started as a dishwaser at 15 and worked all the way up to a supervisor.
the best way to get a job in this economy is it just apply everywhere, and take whatever you get. then you can appy for what you want. people are more likly to hire you if you are curently working.

^^^^^^good advice Djack...most people (even in your age bracket) dont get that. they go apply for a job and dont understand why they didnt get it when they havent been employed for the last 2 years.
Resume's will help but the way its getting out there its pretty much like he said and take what you can get and then be picky from there.
and my first job. wow. 15 and 8 months exactly (va legal work age with permit at the time) and i had a job at DQ. The Dq here isnt a Brazier DQ which means they dont have food. just ice cream. I had the job for 2 years but the beginning was rough.
If you are anyone on here thats in the large man category (Fabb i know you're right there with me lol) DQ is NOT the place to get a job. The first month i worked there i gained 15 lbs which is alot considering im an active 15 year old that played basketball constantly lol. Every shift i worked i had a banana split and a Blizzard. and not one of those weak Blizzards you get when you buy it at the store. A medium is supposed to have 3-4 scoops of toppings in it. In mine i used 10-12 lol sh*t was as tough as concrete lmao
and coreyownz dont be nervous man. just go in and pay attention and learn. the learning is the key. not just about the greenhouse or whereever but about people and life.
I worked at a grocery store in the winter when the DQ was closed and i hated that job and said that i wouldnt be one of the people there at 40 years old still bagging groceries for minimum wage.
Now im 34 have a 2200 sq ft 3br 2 ba on 11 acres and take care of properties owned by my best friend and i have so many toys i would have to start another post to list. and i still go in that grocery store and you know what? the same people are still there for minimum wage

well my step dad owned a moving company so that was my first job. you meet a lot of crazy people.
since then i worked construction and with my uncle he owns a little reno company .
my step dad started buying and selling houses so i was renovating them for him. then my mom and him broke up so everything ended and now im sitting here living with her again. i was already moved out on my own in a different city. but nothing beats a meal cooked by your mom

yeah my friend hes 15 is washing dishes, but u gotta be assertive too. if u let ur boss push u around, u wont get anywhere. hes been washing rtheir for 2 years and other kids he hire come in and bus after a couple months of dishwashing
