Extended Swing arm

Okay so i want to extend my swing arm a bit, i can get one from blasterzone.com that's out 3 inches, everything still stock with the shocks n stuff, do you guys think this is too much to still be able to go to the track and ride ok, and for trails and regular dune riding? I really want to extend it out, but i'm a little nervous about how it'll effect my riding style. what do you guys think?

first, i wouldnt never order from blasterzone.com, because they never answer the phones or emails. i dont really see how they sell stuff. i wanted to buy an extended swinger from them and tried for a week straight to contact them via phone and email.

second. go +4 i have a +4 and i ride trails and i have ridden an mx track with it. its great. I just put a +3 on my wifes blaster and it is nice, but not as nice as the +4.

the stock rear shock sucks. upgrade it. i have a yfz450 rear and love it, however if you are going to drag at all i dont recommend one. works great for trails and MX. my wifes blaster still has the stock shock, and she will get an upgrade before we take it out. its just to soft. get a kfx 400 rear or a 400ex rear. is you really race MX get a lonestar or other round housing swinger. the swingarms shop makes good stuff, but not if you hitting 30' doubles.

No i don't get WAY into the track, but i go fairly often in good weather, just to have a little fun, i do some trails, but sand is my calling, i just don't want it to not perform as well all over. but most of you guys seem to like +4, how cheap can you get ahold of just a good rear shock? will those all usually fit? haha, sorry. lots of questions, i really wanna do my homework on this one, it's probably my next upgrade. and is coming in the very near future

a 400ex rear shock seems to be pretty good. i fin the yfz rear, but im bigger and it works for me well.

Oh okay, so you guys buy from the swing arm shop, off ebay i'm guessing? is it hard to replace these?

I went with a +3 swingarm for mx racing, works great! Like stated earlier, the rear shock is really soft with the added length on the swingarm

Oh really? Cause all my shocks are so so so stiff right now. haha, and i loosened the back one out all the way, i think that makes it softer, and then i backed off the preload on the front ones, still stock as well. Isn't that supposed to make them softer?

ya it should make the softer. the +3 swinger will make it softer. how much do you weigh?

I have a +4 and the biggest benefit I found was that it helps keep the front wheels on the ground. I ride trails and mx and extending the swingarm was one of the best improvements that I have made. I also run the 400ex shock in the stock location.

Will a extended swingarm help not to skid so much when exiting corners ?

Mounted a Diamonj J kit on the front with some banshee shocks, way much better now but.... rear is always loose so will an extended swingarm help here?

you need some better tires that hook, extending the swingarm is only going to help with stability and control, plus its nice coming out of a corner sideways!

if i didnt get a +4 i probably would have sold my blaster long ago, takes the "kid quad" feeling down a peg. its been worth every penny on the trails and really helped me last ride when we were crossing a creek after 4 days of rain and people were floating down stream. not me baby lol i rode that +4 and yfz450 rear shock like a pogo stick across and ended up having to shut it down on the other side and go drag some people out. its also helped me keep up to my buddies riding raptors and whatnot because i dont have to pussyfoot around the throttle the way i used to. with the stock swinger, my stance on the quad, and my size it seemed i had to baby the throttle or i'd have to pick myself off the ground. that feelings gone now and i can use all the power i paid for all the time not just sometimes.

if you skipped over most of that ramble just read this. get the +4 its one of the best things i've done to mine and will be one of the first things i do to any blaster or similar quad i buy in the future.

What he said is my feelings to. It was the number 1 upgrade I did to make the blaster more controllable across the board.

I weigh 150, and i'm 5'11". haha, I'm a tall skinny sucker. But you guys really feel that well about the +4 swinger? I'm really surprised. haha. I figured that it didn't really do anything, and my father kept trying to convince me into thinking that even if i went over just an inch it would hinder all kinds of things like trail riding and so forth, but i'm beginning to think he was just saying that, haha.

Reading all youre replys i can cleary see that extended swingarm is the way to go.
