hi there i had a question for you guys. when i start my bike, at idle, there is a sort of grinding sound coming from the motor. i can feel it when i touch it. it goes away when i rev the motor or drive around. it only does it a low idle. any help would be greatly appreciated.

anyway you could record the sound and post it. sounds bad though. I would break it down if it was mine.
Grinding can never be good. Are you sure it is not something vibrating on the bike creating a harmonic effect?
I'll help if I can but more info would be great. A video is best. I would'nt ride it though until you find out what's wrong.
Does it grind when you barely hit the throttle? If so then mine does it to but I have never worried about it...
Check your balancer drive gear, they are a 3 piece gear & tend to come loose on their carrier pins, making a weird sounding vibration/grinding noise when idling.
