I got a shorty rear cable for my blaster rear brakes and was wanting to get rid of all that mess up top my lever is on. Is there any bracket that ya'll use to put the lever on that doesn't have that? Just want it to be like the clutch side lol

Should be able to get a new perch and lever for a drum brake dirt bike and use it. Check ebay or I think you can get them from Dennis Kirk for like $15.

The swinging part where the cable used to attach can be removed with a single bolt. Then you can trim back the extra aluminum if you want.

Or just buy a whole new brake lever assembly.

^^ always the best way to go, but people like me who cant even afford to pay attention have to deal with cables. after you take the cable off ybmc call you might wanna leave that front brake lever on. but you can take off the part where the rear brake connects the the perch and just have the lever. But no brackets needed otherwise.

i did this about 3 weeks ago. i robbed a perch and lever off of an old dirtbike idk what year but it was a yamaha mx175. you have to be careful when you do this, you have to make sure the lever is long enough to reach around yout throttle assembly. since dirtbikes have twist throttles they make the levers shorter. the lever i have is a little too short, i had to grind down the top so that it would slide under my throttle assembly a little bit so that it wouldnt hit when i pulled it in. i only have a 2 finger pull because its so short but i got used to it and i actually prefer it now. hyro is the way to go but i cant afford it so i make doI:I

ya there is a bolt holding on the part where the parking brake cable attaches that you can take out and remove that part then you can just unscrew the adjuster and leave the rest there. or get a new perch
