hello, I am new to the blaster community. I just purchased an 01 blaster that is completely stock. It seems to me that there may be a carb issue with it though because in first and second gear it seems like it is only going to half of its rpms and then in third about half way up it bogs down then takes off and all of the other gears are fine. The tors system and the park brake switch are gone. Maybe the carburetor needs richened up?

If its completely stock then stock jetting should be fine. Get a carb rebuild kit off ebay for $20 and a new plug. That should make it run like new.
Just clean it real good, you don't need to buy anything except carb cleaner.
It helps to clean out the tank every now and then also, when it's close to being mt drain it and swish some alcahol around in it, it will get rid of any water in the tank.

let me ask this: did you check the throttle? that is, check the throttle cable free play and also the throttle stop in the assembly?
also, the best way to check your carb jetting is to check the plug in all circuits. idle first, then main, then needle.
