DIY shift shaft removal and shift star

Removed clutch cover.



Removed Clutch Basket.



Pull out shift shaft, depending on how bent it is you might have to beat it back thru from the other side.







You can also get to the shift star this way too. Now you can mod your shift star at the same time.

Reverse order to reassemble.

Please help
I have been tearing down my blaster for two days and I finally got it to the point of being able to split the halves, But my shift shaft is still in and I have no idea as how to remove it. I have undid the bolt, and the spring. Do i need to turn it a certain way like you have yours and just hammer it thru from the other side? I can turn it like you have done in your picture but I dont know if I am missing something or what??? It seems like it catching on some mechanism on the clutch side where the spring is.
Is there a clip under the seal on the opposite side where the gear shifter attaches?
Id appreciate any guidance.
