Dirtbike rears?

Hey guys... Does anyone know if you can run a dirtbike rear shock with a rezzie? My cousin just pickid up a few sponsors and is decking out his 450f and said I can have his rear shock if i wanted it. I saw someone running one but dont remember who... Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I don't see why not if the eye to eye measurement isn't too big.
The 450F's normally have more rear travel then the YFZ450's though.
I can't see going bigger on the rear then a YFZ450 ATV shock...

Dirt bike rears are mixed subjet, like everyone else has asked whats the eye to eye length?

4cfed hated his cr125 shock, it was way too long. Others have used 85 shocks and they say its a softer ride. But I think the rear is too soft and short as is...

the 125 shock would be great for a long travel setup if somebody wanted to build one. blaster rear suspension blows...but if you get a shock thats a bit longer it may ride better, and give a bit more travel. need eye to eye length..depending on your size it may be good or bad also..lots of guys like to run 400ex or 250r shocks. or some suzuki 400 shocks also...

I agree. But personally if I made a long travel rear I would use a yfz450 rear and get it valved for my weight.
