cutiing out around turns.. please help!!

Odd that you had to jumper both, but run with it!

maybe you should take another look at that carb. You said you played with the float a bit. Float setting is appx 21mm. the important thing is to hold the carb such that the spring-loaded float needle is not depressed by the weight of the float. For me, holding it on it's side works best.

When you take the float bowl off, try to not spill the fuel in it so you can check it out. Look for crap in it or what looks like little bubbles (water) in it.

Spray all the passages and jets out really well.

i have a spare carb that i have off thats completly clean but i dont know how you check for the 21mm? or where about on the float? is that with it completely compressed? just free floating? or what? it also has a 230 jet in it... im going to put this carb back on once i know it is all set it up all correctly

Hold the carb on it's side and tilt it (float side up) until the float just touches the needle. If you tilt it too far it will depress the spring inside the float needle. Watch it happen and you will know what I mean. That's bad.

Measure from the gasket surface to the highest point on the float. 21mm, +/- 1/2mm
