crash turns into full rebuild

Hey guys just thought I would share a story. I have been reading the forums for a long time and figured I would join anyways here it is ....we were up north for a nice vacation last year everything went great till we left the bikes with my daughter and son in law and came back home.

My son went back up the following week to bring the bikes home and what he found was not pretty. they had invited some of their friends up. and their one friend says ya I know how to ride lets take em out. well they found out someone didn't know how to ride after all and found a tree

their friend didn't even offer any cash to repair the bike, I guess we should be glad no one got hurt. so the hunt for a new frame was on . after searching for a bit we found a rolling chasis

I told my son , this is cleaner than your frame we should put your yellow bike parts on this one and put the green bike parts on the yellow bike frame he agreed so the work began

Ouch! The tree won! Looks like a new frame in the near future. Hope they were wearing a helmet.

so I said to my son we should have your frame powder coated...boy did that get the wheels turning he says I think im gonna put some money into my yellow bike little did I know he had very big plans for this bike. and the parts kept showing up at the door. We decided to fit the parts on the bike before we had the frame powder coated

So we disassembled it and sent the parts out to be powder coated

Mirror yellow was a great choice

new seat cover...my first attempt...we later tightened it up some more turned out sweet

wheels on...headed back out to do some more work...waiting on top end to get back sent her out to KOR. Bore ,hone ,chamfer, new piston, head shave, port job can't wait to get her up and running again

Way to start off a build, great job ! You really aren't going to realize it is a Blaster anymore by the way it handles and with the xtra ponies and all. I also dig the Black and Yellow color scheme..

What pipe will you be running?
