Alright so I got my motor apart with the help of the wonderful people here. lol Thanks SO much guys. So now that I got the crank gears off I was wondering how to get those galldarn crap seals out?

some say you can screw a screw into it on both sides then pull it out with pliers like that but i just took a screwdriver and pried it out being carefull not to scar up the case
There are far more professional ways and they may even make a special tool for removing seals but I use a hammer and screw driver. Hammer it through and pry the seal out. Dont beat on it like you're trying to kill it just use enough force to get the screwdriver through the rubber to where you can pry it out.
Be careful not to score up the edges so the new seal will not have a potential leak.

Thanks man. They are a pain to get out with the screw drivers though. And what happens if you scar the case?
kindof a pain, i would try the screws and pull with pliers 1st but thats because i havent yet... if you scar the cases up just be sure you clean it up so the new seal will not leak.
If you scar the case then I would try to smooth it out with a dremel and apply a little bit of gasket sealant (hondabond is awesome)
What if I just smear some gasket maker on the outer side of the seal anyways? Would that harm anything?
I put a dyrwall screw in and hook it with a flat crowbar or hammer.then i pryed it out in half a second using leverage against the case. piece of cake for me. im sure other ppl will chime in with an ultra perfect by the book method but it worked for me.
