i've heard about those 265 kits. make great power, not reliable.....idk what kind of riding you do, but you can make great power out of that little blaster with a way more reliable setup like a 3mm stroker and ported 240 BB kit. i've seen as much as 50hp or more. depending on what you do in terms of riding.
it may be a back up bike, but even a back up bike needs to be reliable. all of your bikes should be reliable. they arent fun if they cant stay together. then when you get sick of fixing sh*t, then its hard to get rid of, cuz the next guy doesnt want your problems...
heat is a big issue with those 265 kits...they heat up quick, and if i remember correctly the sleeves are thin and are prone to cracking....save your cash, build a reliable, powerful setup. they do exist and are possible with a budget with any bike. why do you think the 265 kits arent popular? why do you think the 240 kits are way popular? ever heard "only the strong survive"? such is the case. unreliable, expensive, not worth the hassle.
to each his own...but the peanut gallery seems to be unanimous......
