cooling head?

in SA we got both the DT200 and the WR200! :) some good thought coming through here, and i must agree with Blackstar, if you cool the head fast, heat will transfer, alos, the head is generally the hottest part of the motor anyway, with the exhaust port area a close second.

i dont see how this setup would not work, it has advantages over air with regard to mud caking etc.

Someone try it!!!

omg i would rather blow my sh*t up than rock that nastiness.. haha

I wanted one of these kits after reading these articles back in 1996, but never got one...lol... You would think for something that has been around for over 15 years that you would see more of them on a few blasters... I wounder what ever happened to the Last Rebel racing blaster!!!!

have some reps !!!!!!

edit...gotta spread some reps before handing anymore to bronco ???

read the bottom part about the rebel blaster taking second in the race against 250r's and shee' and also the pro riders evaluation on the +4 swingarm not getting traction, and being better suited for dune riding, a +1 or +2 would have given him way more traction for mx racing, which is far more similar to woods riding than dune riding

I will hopefully be able to give you guys a full review here shortly. Gonna pull the trigger and pick one up for my MX build.

infared heat gun readings before and after are a must
harbor freight has them fairly cheap

Precisely! Im gonna document heat ranges before and after head installation. I actually already have a heat gun from back when I used to race those silly nitro r/c cars lol.

Thank god someone is finally gonna give this thing a shot! I do like the idea of having changable domes

I also like the idea of having changable domes... Would i be able to change the dome so i don't have to run race gas when i ride with the slow pokes and then change it back to run race gas when i go up to awk mountain..lol

lol.. THANKS ..lol:D

Ive been toying with the idea of getting one bu two things stop me one being every time i go to order it i find another use for the money usually into one of the mustangs an two its down right just FUGLY lookin lol.t looks like soeone half assed two motors together.

i agree 100% it does look ugly. and i mean it would only be good for long rides. or on rlly hot days.

Its starting to grow on me but its still FUGLY no matter how much it grows on me lol

Im really suprised no ones copied this setup in a more attractive way.I mean how hard can it be with todays technology?

Not to mention any extra material thats added cosmetically would just transfer more heat.

I dont know i like the idea of a liquid cooled blaster but that thing better make a night and day difference if i got stare at that fugly peice on my engine.lol

Crap, an 18% power difference is enough for me.

Considering most rides are only making power in the 20hp range, that's like 2hp:/

However, its still ugly maybe one of the mod gods can fab up some sort of shrowd to dress it up or whatever.

Or, one of the machinist members on the site could mod one for aeshtic reasons.

This kit is about $250 and if you have 20hp and are get 2hp out of it then that is like $125 for 1hp..:)
But if you have 40hp then you may be getting about 4hp out of it then you are spending $62.50 for 1hp...I:I
