well, i was lookin at my blastys sexy stock tailight tonight and thought, i wonder it i could mount it to the tool pack holder box, you know the thing that is behond the airbox, theyre alll attached, anyway, drill two holes that are the size of the rubber mounts inside part and make a big hole for the center peice of the tailght to stick tru, than drill a large hole for the wiring and stick it thru, silicone the wires in, bolt the tailight and rubber mounts in and connect the wires and tada, you have a taillight thats out of harms way, and out of the # plates way(if you have one), i will be doing this in the future, let me say now, this is a 04 blaster tailight i'm alking about, i'm not shure if the 88-02 tailight will work, but its worth a try.

somethin kinda like this?

ok, so i just stencileed the pattern od holes off the stock mounting bracket onto the box and checked out the inside of the box and it should all mount up nice!!!!:)

well, guy's i tryed pics a million times and myinternet is just too slow but i will put a step by step walk through,

1.get all you tools together, you will need a drill, a large drill bit and a hole saw head, you will aslo need a 10mm wrench for the taillight bolts and a grinder and some silicone, and a pencil.

2. first you should dissasemble the tailight and take the stock mounting bracket and roughly sketch the hole on it.

3 next you should take the large drill bit and drill the bolt/rubber mounting thingy holes, if the rubber things don't fit then reen the ole out a little, repeat on the other hole and make sure its level and the bolts on the tailight match up with the holes.

4. you should now take the hole cutter of the appropriate size and drilla hole a bout 5/8 inches down from the other holes, make sure you leave room for the wires (thelittle wall of plastic iside the box will be in the way so me and my dad just cut it off) . me and my dad drill a larger hole and put it further down, then reemed the top out because it fit better that way.

5. we inserted the rubber mounts( they are a two peice part, leave the ring shape rubber thing out), then put the taillight beack on, and bolted it up

6. i cut the zip tie holding the wires and pulled them into the box, and plugged them into there matching wires, put a thick bead of silicone around the hole and tada, you have a stylich out of the way tailight.

please note that i did this on a 04 blaster, some of these steps might not apply or work for the older 89-02 models.
