In a lot of ways yamaha did the lowly blaster just about right.... What other quad do you know comes with 16hp stock and can relatively reliably be pushed to at least 3 times that amount?
The one place I think yamaha REALLY dropped the ball was the mechanical drum front brakes. I can deal with cleaning out the rear caliper and keeping it working but no amount of care will keep those front brakes in adjustment....
Norman420 spindles are the answer to that problem, bolt them on the stock upper and lower arms, slide on a range of popular and readily available variety of hubs and rotors and pop on a readily available and wide range of calipers for consistent stopping power. There is no excuse for not having good front brakes anymore!
