i have an 06 blaster. when i pull the clutch it feels like its working. also the clutch cable moves. when im in gear and pull in the clutch it remains in gear, and i cant push it. it happened just after a light ride. i have called around and no one seems to be able to clue me in on what it could be. any help would be greatly appreciated.

have the plates recently been replaced? and yea maybe the oil u r using is soaking into the plates and swellin them. did u just get this bike? maybe u need to make some adjustments. start with the clutch cable. if you look at that clutch plate on front of the basket( pic in ur avitar) u should see it push out torwards you when u pull clutch in...

yes.....check clutch cable first...for some reason your plates arnt pulling apart enough to dissingage
iff all else fails pull the side case off, theres a rod that goes from the laft side clutch acuator to the right side clutch, take off your pressure plate and check the ends of that push rod,see if its dimpled or flatened. i had to to replace mine and shim one out on another bike a few times, cause they get wore and wont push the pressure plate out enough to functiion properly...also theres a ball bearing in there, dont loose it !!! ..like blaster biotch said though, check the simple stuff first..after that if all else fails take her apart and see what the deal is. look for blue burn marks on your plates, look for grooves wore into your clutch basket..if so you can do a few things to fix those issues, shoot me a pm if ya need help.
good luck

if those rods are worn (HIGHLY unlikely in a bike only 3 years old) you can adjust the rod at the pressure plate.

also, do you normally slam through the gears? you might have bent a shift fork. can you get her in all the other gears, just not neutral?

it is an 06 and i bought it new in 07. i can shift through all the gears (even neutral), but its just the clutch doesnt work. the plates have never been changed. when the clutch is pulled the plates separate. i am using the oil specified in the manual 10w30

oooo...sorry man ..i didnt realize it was that new. if i had known i would have gave ya different advice.
its strange that you would even have a clutch problem at all on a machine that new!!!

funny thing my 06 blasters clutch acted funny from time to time and when i took the cover off i found out that one of the forks off of the clutch basket was broke.Thats when i put the Magnum Billet Clutch basket on mine.

is it happening just when the bikes shut off and you pull in the clutch to move it/push it around? if so, thats normal..

when i start it i start it in neutral and let it warm up. then i hole the clutch and go to put it in first and it jumps and stalls. that and i cant push it with the clutch in.
