I think I may have to replace my Clutch side crank seal...does this require splitting the case? Thanks:(

f@#$#%# right lol I was really getting bummed out..cause i REALLY dont want to get into all of that.

I need MORE tools? Geeze very thing I do on this thing I need a special tool... lol The flywheel side is already replaced...and the threads on the flywheel are stripped (IM assuming the previous owner didnt know it was left hand thread...till it was too late!) I let a buddy get it off.. But How much is a gear jammer??

yeah, right. you'll need to pull the cluch basket, and a clutch/flywheel holder comes in real handy for that. i'd say use an aluminum washer instead of a coin. it'd be safer; less chance of scarring your cogs. if you don't have a compressor or corded impact gun, you can get an impact driver from northern tools for like $13.

Im not sure I have a Northern Tools around here...but I think I can make it work...Ill just have to take my bike to my fathers house and use the garage of endless possibility! lol thanks guys

you are going to need a fly wheel puller to get the job done though.

what you smokin boy? he said clutch side. just requires taking some sh*t off from underneath your clutch cover to alow accsess to the seal. easy job. make sure when re-assembling you line up the dots on the counter balencer gear and main shaft gear. i belive they look the same and they both have dots that have to line up. as well as the clutch assembly, watch the dots on the inner and outer parts. i belive its a mark on the clutch basket and the compression plate(or whatever its called, springs at bolted to it, outer most part)

oh and, a pennie works fine to jam the gears. just figure out where to put it, thats your first test lol.
