Lately my clutch has been slipping and I'm wondering what it could be. For example, sometimes when I put it into first it will jump foward and sometimes even stall. And sometimes when I'm riding and the wheels start spinning and I pull in the clutch they will still continue spinning at a low speed. And the owner before me always ran low grade automotive oil with friction modifiers. Could this have burnt up my clutch plates or what could be wrong? Please help. I've been looking at Moose's 2011 clutch racing kit which includes clutch and friction plates with HD springs. Would this solve my problems or could it just be an adjustment issue? Thanks for any help guys. =]

Thanks man. I thought springs would be a good idea. And I ride on a motocross track too so would that be hard on my springs? And I'm running 10w-30 and it's around -2 up here. Should I change to 10w-40? And could that be the problem?

that isn't a slipping clutch. a slipping clutch will do the exact opposite. you need to adjust your clutch. it is disengaging to fast.
HD springs will not fix this.
