clutch problem

i just purchased a 2001, recently rebuilt problem im havingulled in clutch, put it in gear and instantly stalled..clutch was working fine just 10 minutes before..now has nothing, clutch lever on case just free moving. Havent taken it apart yet, wanted to get some info before i tear in to it. have a Clymer repair manual, kinda veig on how it works.

take off the clutch cover and have look inside, mabe the locking nut backed off the pressure plate

locking nut on the pressure plate would be my first thought also. if someone else rebuilt it i never trust what someone that i dont know does sometimes their good enough isnt my good enough. I am ANAL about motors and correctly torqing bolts!!
