Looking for some input on clutch kits for high power Blaster motors. I seen a nice one on eBay under Yamaha Blaster clutch 240 but not sure if I really need to spend that much on it to have a clutch that's will work good with my motor. I'm checking out the springs to. I've seen 10% and 20% over stock.

Buy one that has an extra clutch plate instead of the wavy washer. Otherwise, besides spring pressure, they are pretty much the same.
The Driveline Performance HD clutch from fuelteknology (on Ebay) has the option for the HD clutch which is full steels, one extra fiber (for a full fiber set instead of the one wave fiber) and 10% over stock springs. They also sell the 240HD clutch which is the ful steels, full fibers and 20% over stock.
I bought the 240HD clutch for my eventual plans but went ahead and installed it into my bottom end I've got now and let me tell you... the clutch pull is like night and day. The clutch engagement is also MUCH more sudden than a regular clutch kit too. If you don't NEED the "240HD" kit, I would probably go with their "HD" kit and have the easier clutch pull but, so far so good with the driveline performance clutch kit.

I too have this same kit (driveline performance 240HD) and I have no issues with it! Price is great too!
I had a tusk (standard) clutch in my other motor and it was very easy to pull in. This 240HD clutch is MUCH stronger which, of course, equalsmore clamping force.

Yeah, look for the regular HD one if you're not going to a 240 kit. The clutch pull effort on the 240HD kit is a little much if you don't actually need that much clutch clamping force.

I don't know... a regular replacement clutch will actually take a bunch of beating but you will wear it out faster with an upgraded engine... it probably wouldn't last as long as an upgraded clutch.

I have experience with the Tusk kit with the HD springs on a banshee. It bites alot harder than the stock clutch did. And the price is really good. I think Im gonna try it out on mine. (Ill just have a KOR porting job with a head mod).
i have my driveline performance 240 hd "cork" fibers soaking in the suggested mobil 1
full synthetic 5w-30 < yeah they've done their homework, and dyno testing to back it, to even suggest what oil provides the longest life, which they also claim the kevlar discs provided no more bite, and didnt last as long as the cork ones ????
and i shouldnt notice much difference in pull with my ez pull lever, and i've been running all 5 hd springs for 2 years now anyway, 15% if i remember right ???
gotta drill out the rivets on my basket and get the PE billet put together tomorrow, then i give a report if i notice any difference
i had been feeling some slipping, and hard shifting, but the fibers i pulled today looked OK ????
(and yes, it was internally adjusted correctly)
