clutch cover ??

well im polishing my clutch cover and i want to make a oil pump cover and i niticed the place where a cooling pump would be if there was one sticks out like a 1/16 of an inch so would it leak if i had it machined out or grinded it?

Just grind it down. Blaster freak made a great set up for this and I'm working on one for myself. I took a sawsall and cut the stock cover down to the same height as the bolt surface. I sanded it down level with a belt sander and made a plate to match the out side of the cover. Polished the crap out of it and ......done. The hole for the water pump that they never put in is sealed buy the plug in the case. Just cut the pump surface down so it clears your plate and put the plug back in.
