clutch cable question

You have to make sure the marking on the pressure plate is lined up with the marking on the clutch basket as well.... If they arent it throws the adjustment off.

All washers, spacer plates, all that good stuff aligned? Correct number of friction and steel plates?

i'm under the assumption the clutch was workin well before,
he's just having troubles replacing the clutch cable

possibly an incorrect length cable, mighta been a monday morning/friday afternoon cable build ????

still no luck with the blaster, im thinking its the clutch cable thats the problem, going to bring it to a guy who does all my motor work tomorrow to have him look at it, im stumped with this one

i'm sticking with that story too, the cable was made too long to begin with
check it's exact length against your stretched one, ball to ball, not outer sheath
bet it's the same or longer,
return it and buy a factory yamaha one

thats possibly why my brand new "motion pro" is adjusted the whole way out too, may not be the cr ez-pull i added at the same time

just looked the new cable is about 1/2-3/4" longer then the stretched out one i was using

check the part number with a google search, possibly sent you the wrong cable, or mislabeled as blaster when in fact it's not, that may lead us to poor quality control from motion pro ????
either way return it and try again, possibly factory

Just a tip for ya, take it or leave it. Whenever you replace a cable, belt, chain, brake line, anything that can stretch its a good idea to check the lengths of new vrs old before the install. Maybe itll save you some headaches in the future :)

Glad you figured out the prob man!!
