so this is the way i did it.....!!!!!
1: put the shock into a vice to hold it.
2: put in a thin peice of timber(just what i used)
3: put on clamps either side of the shock(reaching from timber to vice jaws)
4: tighten the clamps evenly to compress the spring
5:then once the spring is compressed enough take out the ring thingy
6:now loosen the clamps gently and equally so that the spring dosent fly off and do damage to some1
7:the spring is off and time to start the cleaning and prep for paint on the spring
( to put them back on i did more less the same process but reversed)
hope it helps some of ye.........!!!!!
