cheap peg wideners diy!

i looked into another set of pegs to make my pegs wider but i didnt have the money to pay for them so i made these!

step 1! find some pvc and cut it to 7 - 7 1/2 inches.
step 2! drill holes according to the ones already on the stock pegs.
step 3! paint them any color yo want. i chose black.
step 4! get some machined screws at an appropriate length and et some loctight and put it on a nut and tighten it down.
i will get pics of mine tommorow!

i think i deserve some green for that!

here they are being held on by some wire and the wire made them kind of not sit right but what ever you get the point and they are so much nicer looking in person and they are very comfortable and make it easier to find the pegs

I think you would be better off using metal, even thin tubing like EMT electrical conduit. But here's some green for creativity.

Sure, there are prob lots of better ways to do it. The key is to start thinking about it.

could figure something out with some square stock maybe, cut a side off and ripple cut it?

Actually, Brandon's idea of cutting up some stock pegs was good. Just bolt those on to the existing peg after removing the part that bolts to the frame. They are already predrilled.

thats what i have been wanting to do, just waiting for really cheap pegs to show up, then i will give it a try

yea iknow it isnt the best way to do it but i was bored and just had the idea and thought why not i just put it up for another cheap way to do it thanks for the green

honestly i think its a bad idea. if you lean you foot on just that it could slide off and you might go for a tumble if your leaning hard.

why would you slip off? the stock pegs are still there with the pointed edges

^^^if your leaning and you foot isnt flat on the peg and its only touching the pole. its smooth so you could slip.

well i guess you could cut them in a serated kinda way

or put hex head screws in. so the head of the screw is sticking out... kinda like ice racing tires for a quad
