chain too tight?

I have not seen any professional instructions stating that a person has to be on a Quad to adjust the chain .if I am wrong, please post a link showing me.

The amount of slack in the chain is dependent on the weight of the rider. No set number should be used for everyone ! What may be just right for a 180 lbs rider will obviously not be right for someone weighing 250.

Not exactly right.
Shocks are adjusted for the weight of the rider,
but the chain is adjusted to be tightest when the countershaft, pivot and axle are all in line.
The easiest way to do that is to have someone sit on the quad to achieve that alignment.
All other chain tightening techniques are just a fudge to approximate the same thing.

yes it is a bolt off the hub i am going tomorrow to "bolts and nuts" store in derby about 20min from where i live and they said they have them in stock so im happy :D I:I
I'm assuming this nut bolt store sells all kinds of nuts and bolts.. If i were you i would take with ya the clutch cover and fly wheel cover bolts with you and upgrade to stainless allen head bolts.. along with some other odds and ends nuts a bolts you have and can find there...I:I

Thanks for clearing that up man ! The point I was trying to make is that the bigger the bump/jump etc. and the more weight being pushed down the more/easier the swing arm will want to straighten out, resulting in the chain tightening. I guess I was, and still am at a loss for better words in my explanation ! Haha

No, 1:13 minutes should not melt the ball, but is a bit of a long time to be holding a clutch. Click it in neutral man!

Sounds like you have an adjustment problem. Get the book out and look up clutch adjustment. There is a cable adjustment and a rod adjustment. Get it right and the clutch will work so nice.
